About Zildjian
While the Zildjian Company has seen an abundance of musical trends come and go, the single element unchanged in the company since its beginnings in 1623, is the continual leadership of the Zildjian family. When Avedis Zildjian died in 1979, he left behind a legacy of commitment to quality and craftsmanship, which his eldest son, Armand, continued to uphold. The torch is now carried by Armand’s two daughters, Craigie, CEO of the company, and Debbie, Vice President of Human Resources, who will guide the company into the next century. “Our mission is clear,” says Craigie. “Debbie and I will press for continuous quality improvement and innovation, while at the same time preserving the family character and rich tradition of the business.”
